Right now is a potent time to view where you were the beginning of the year and where you are now.  A powerful practice of engagement is to journal your annual life’s journey. A great process to make way for the new, to embrace your life’s experience, witness your life and integrate the sweet nectar for completions.

As a ritual, the last few years I‘ve taken this time to reflect on the riches of the past year, remembering the memorable moments; the grace-filled ones, the heartfelt ones, the poignant ones, the good ones and the not so good ones…  The memoir would not be complete without contemplating the lessons learned, taking note to on how to better respond when the opportunity arises again.

The recollection wouldn’t be half as fun if I didn’t reminisce on those times that made me laugh and the ones that played out like bloopers; the ones that make me wish life had outtakes or the incident’s I would’ve liked to have been able to exclaim “Cut! Do over!”  The reflection filled with accolades, rejoicing and tenderness… laughter and tears.

A lasting moment that fills the road I’ve travelled thus far with color, flowers, pebbles and stones… the adventures, trials and tribulations. So that I can look at the road ahead with presence, fortitude and wonderment of what’s to come and remember that the path is filled with guideposts, signs and clues on trail maps.

For some inspiration, serenity and space, I’ve carved out some me time tomorrow morning to walk over to the Zen-infused Japanese Tea Garden nestled in the natural vignettes of the Golden Gate Park, steps from my home.  While I’m there, I plan to fill my journal pages with highlights of noteworthy experiences throughout 2011, such as the extra special soulful sessions I’ve had with some of my clients, meaningful conversation with friends and reconnection with family.

I will most definitely moment to list the wonderful programs including the new Your Star Quality – Star Ki Program I launched late summer and others I’ve been a part of and attended Launch as The Chinese Face Reading Adv. Practitioner Program, The Art of Feminine Presence – Feminine Spirituality & Leadership 6 month Program, Your Life Purpose Gifted Event and Clear Home Clear Heart Retreat.

The year-end journaling ritual is a precious gift to reconnect back to myself.  It’s another opportunity to engage my life with awareness and enchantment.  Will you join me in this treasure filled ritual?  Another chance to realize and celebrate your fabulousness?  Take the time to look behind you, before the resolutions, so that you can step into the New Year by capturing your essence in the moments…

I’m sharing pictures from a stream I came across in a clearing in Arizona, which made me smile, for the colors of the flowers on the tree alongside the brook are the same for our Program’s logo.

The water stream energetically felt refreshing and nourishing. I also was delighted to see a community of ducks wading in the water, enjoying each other’s company while splashing around and connecting — some of which I wish to bring to you in the coming months throughout the program, hopefully encouraging you to engage in this forum. 

Today is the 20th of October, which denotes a day of strength and wholeness in community.

As I finished reviewing my notes, I thought of sharing with you one of my basic Breathing Exercises I use before starting a class.  You can go through the steps before you listen to an online class, tele-class or workshop to help ground you into your body.  You may also use it before you start reading or doing any type mental work.  This technique can, especially help you prepare before writing your blog post.

The rhythm, heat and passion of the fire dance

Moving with vital, soulful and primal pulsations….  All portray the heart beat, rhythm and metamorphosis of The Phoenix.  As the mythical bird with colorful plumage and a tail of gold, purple and scarlet dances through life in preparation for the rebirth, it bewitches — enchants with its beautiful song as its rhythm and beat… a symphony within the cacophony.

The magical movement and musical tribal signs of a revival, resurrection and a renewal… transformation at it’s highest note.

PS Photo was taken in Phoenix, Arizona on the first month of the beginning of the new year, while sitting by a Fire Pit, mesmerized by its magic.

My other thought was to use the age old wisdom of the smart alecks from the “Emperor’s New Clothes” story and say “Only smart people can see” and read yesterday’s post…

But alas, I won’t make excuses or lie about a post I never even wrote yesterday for the post a day 2011 challenge.  :)
